Approve Service (APS) one of the leading money transfer agencies in the Gambia last Wednesday donated medical items worth D575, 000 to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) and Kanifing General Hospital (KGH) respectively.

The presentation ceremony was held at EFSTH in Banjul and was attended by senior staff of the hospital, and senior management of APS led by the Managing Director Momodou Joof.

The donated items were part of APS’s corporate social responsibility, to give back to the most vulnerable people in the society.

Joof praised the hospital management for accepting the donation from APS meant for maternal wards in EFSTH and Kanifing General Hospital.

“This is how APS can reach the community and Gambians at large for supporting APS in its business endeavor”. Mr. Joof stated.

He disclosed that APS identified the two major health facilities because they are the most demanding in terms of the number of patients they receive daily. He added that they intend to make the gesture biennial.

According to him, their aim is to support all local health facilities across the country in the future.

Dr. Charles Roberts, Chief Medical Director at EFSTH expressed appreciation over the donated medical items and commended the management of APS for the magnificent gesture. He said the donation will go a long way in complimenting government efforts towards the realization of effective health service delivery.
