Information reaching The MAMOS Media has it that a truck loaded with goods has stuck on a ferry ramp, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at the Barra crossing point for almost six hours.
According to an eyewitness source who preferred to talk under anonymity, said the truck has stuck on the ramp for almost 6 hours, that left passengers stranded and panic at the Barra ferry crossing point before, the mechanics eventually resolve the problem.
“Both passengers and vehicles that arrived to cross to Banjul side had to wait for six hours to remove the goods from the truck,” said an eye witness.
The source told The MAMOS Media that the passengers that could not wait for the mechanics, have taken small cannoes to cross the sea to Banjul.
“The ramp is at a serious risk condition,” said the source.
He added: “Do we have to wait danger struck before we act?”
Meanwhile, the “Johe Ferry” that came to pick the passengers has reportedly spent more than an hour in the sea to Banjul.
