The Gambia’s long standing leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), lawyer Ousainu Darboe has said that the minister of Tourism and Culture, Hamat N.K. Bah sold his National Reconciliation Party (NRP) to Adama Barrow for his selfish interest and pocket.

“Hamat Bah made you merchandise and sold you to the National People’s Party (NPP) for his selfish interest and such a person does not deserve to be campaigned for and I believe come December 4th, Upper Saloum will choose their president who is not Adama Barrow”.

Speaking recently at Bati Ndar in Upper Saloum, Darboe said: “In the months of May, June and July you went out to get your voter’s cards and that you did because you want to be fully involved in choosing your president on December 4th. Therefore, if you were that determined to get voter’s cards then you should be more determined to vote on the said day”.

Putting more emphasis and letting them understand how important their voter’s cards are, Darboe said “I am pleading with you all not to sell your voter’s cards to anyone; do not allow yourselves to be deceived by anyone giving you money to vote for them.

“I want to let you know that he who truly wants to work for you and solve your daily problems here in Upper Saloum would not give you money and ask you to vote for him”.

Darboe further posited that: “I was told there was never a project brought here all the years that you were giving your votes to Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC), and for many years you have been voting for Hamat Bah and nothing changed as well, so why not try and see what UDP has for you since all those parties you have been voting for deceived you”.
