The Foni Agency for Rural Development (FARD) in partnership with The Gambia Volunteers have on Tuesday, presented medical items to the Bwiam General Hospital, Sintet and Batabutu kantora Health Centres to provide better services to these communities.
The items presented were first aid kits, stethoscope, scissors, intervenors injections and scrub uniforms amongst other things.
Speaking at the event, Gen. Lang Tombong Tamba, said the association consists of Foni natives both home and abroad with the aim of helping their people and beyond in the areas of Agriculture, Health, Aquaculture etc. He stressed that the items should be use as expected and effectively.
The beneficiaries in return commended FARD and The Gambia Volunteers for their timely gesture, assuring them that the presented items would go a long way in helping the health care workers in both Bwiam and Sintet to fulfill their duties.
