Gambia’s confirmed cases now totals 11, following the Health Ministry’s reporting of a new confirmed case.
Dr Bittaye, who represents the Health Minister at this press briefing, revealed that the patient is a Senegalese, who was in quarantine on account of a recent travel history to Senegal.
10 new persons have been taken into quarantine, 4 of whom were close contacts of the newly confirmed case.
2 additional low risk contacts have been traced, making the number of people being regularly followed to be up to 101 people.
The country currently has 99 persons under quarantine, 2 active cases and no probably case.
