The body of Bambo Darboe, a longtime resident of Kudang, was discovered in the early hours of Wednesday morning. While foul play is suspected, but so far, no one has been apprehended for his death
“These frequent killings should be investigated. This is the third such killings in Kudang in less than six months. This is quite worrying not only to the people of Kudang but Niamina at large as the one responsible for these killings is yet to be known or for what reason”, Honourable Omar Ceesay, the National Assembly Member for Niamina East said.
Ceesay therefore called on the government, especially the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to establish a committee to investigate who is responsible for such killings.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Lamin Njie, when contacted said: “we can confirm the incident of the suspected murder of 56-year-old Bambo Darboe in Kudang village in the Central River Region.” He said an investigation has been immediately opened into the matter. He therefore called on anyone with any information on the matter to volunteer such information on condition of anonymity.
