Prominent religious leader sends condolences to govt on demise of IGP

The Imam and Khalifa General of Foni Besse Jabbie Kunda, Alhaji Muhammed Lamin Jabbie on behalf of Besse Morri Kunda and marabout houses in the country, has sent condolences to President Adama Barrow, the Interior Minister, the Gambia Police Force, and the nation at large on the untimely demise of the late Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mamour Jobe.

Late IGP Jobe died on Saturday afternoon after a brief illness and he was laid to rest on Sunday at Sinchu Alhagie.

“The Gambia has lost a great son who had high regards for his duties with commitment and dedication to service. He was very supportive to marabout houses in the country during ‘Gamos’ and other religious functions,” the prominent Imam said.

He also extended his condolences to the family of the late IGP Jobe and also prayed to Allah to admit him into Jannatul Firdaws.
