Rising Stars Africa, a TV series company formed in 2016 with the aim to promote and nurture unrefined talents and potential in young people, has awarded three outstanding young Gambians for topping its TV series season 3.

The award ceremony, held at Metzy hotel last Saturday, saw Saffie Josephine Jatta, who emerged first in the season, receive D100, 000 and a certificate and the first runner up Sharurya Ganesh Shinde received an air conditioner from Eone Electronics.

Second runner up Amadou Taal took home a smart 42 inch television set given by E-Zone while third place occupant Sainabou Touray received a smart phone and power bank from Unique Solutions.

Mariam Bangz, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bangz Entertainment described the awardees as talented young people.

“Indeed, the winner of season 3, who we are honoring today, is a young incredible Gambian talent who has broken through the glass ceiling of success. Saffie Josephine Jatta is a young banker and member of the Winners of Chapel Church,” she added.

Bangz highlighted that the show was highly competitive with 20 incredibly talented contestants who performed their geniuses through drama and dancing, poetry and singing. She explained that half of Josephine’s money will go towards her music production, adding that, she will now be under Bangz Entertainment for two years. She said Bangz Entertainment will fully support her to release her first album.

“The company is ready to take responsibility of any expenditure that might come as a result of her music production,” Ms Bangz stated.
