General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, disclosed that some Boko Haram terrorists in the North-East orchestrated attacks from prison with the collaboration of prison warders. He expressed concern about corrupt prison warders aiding arrested terrorists in planning operations.

General Musa also highlighted challenges in media reportage, emphasizing the need for a collective responsibility for security and suggesting educational sensitization programs.

Additionally, he asserted that good governance is crucial in addressing insecurity, emphasizing that security encompasses various aspects beyond the military.

The porous borders, unmanned forests, and alleged judicial challenges were also raised during the discussion. General Musa called for diplomatic action against Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), operating from Finland, stating that Ekpa’s actions and utterances have contributed to violence in Nigeria.
