The Vice President takes over has The President Of Tanzania.

Mamudu: As the world mourns President John Pombe Magufuli, the Tanzanian Constitution clarifies what happens next in presidential succession if the incumbent dies, resigns, or is removed from office. The Vice President takes over, and in this case, Mama Suluhu will appoint a Vice President who has to get 50% + votes in parliament.
My Observation
Mamudu: Tanzanians don’t base their politics on tribe or region they try to balance between Christianity and Islam, and the VP, without any doubt, will now appoint a Christian.
History has shown that the Founding father of Tanzania, Julius Kambarage Mwalimu Nyerere, a Christian, was succeeded by Ali Hassan Mwinyi, a Muslim? Then Mwinyi was followed by Benjamin Mkapa, a Christian who was succeeded by Jakaya Kikwete, a Muslim. Then came John Pombe Magufuli, a Christian who had a Muslim Vice President, Mama Suluhu.
Mamudu: Patriotism and nationalism in Tanzania are on another level. I recall a long time ago when Kikwete was elected President and a friend asked Tanzanian visiting friends what his tribe was, and they told us they had no idea. In this moment of National loss, I pray that Tanzania has the stability to move forward in the journey of making Tanzania prosperous for its citizens.
Mamudu: In the Gambia, we have a lot to learn from Tanzania to curve a new path, a new beginning for a third republic. Let’s appeal to the new President Mam Samia Suhuhu to return all political activists in exile and all political prisoners’ releases.
